Reaching the end of a job interview, the interviewer asked a young graduate what starting salary they were looking for.

The candidate said, "In the region of £100,000 a year, depending on the benefits package."

The interviewer said, "Well, what would you say to a package of six weeks' holiday, full medical and dental cover, company matching retirement fund to 50 percent of your salary, and a company car leased every two years, perhaps a red Mercedes?"

The candidate sat up straight and said, "Wow! Are you kidding?"

The interviewer replied, "Yep, but you started it."
